Woop woop! Today I am sharing with you another original song that I wrote. This is actually the first song I’ve written about this specific situation, which then led to me writing so many more. I used to write songs when I was younger as well, but I feel like this was my first real song.
This is probably my second favorite after “Sixteen and Eighteen”. If you haven’t read that one, you can read it here.
Second Chance
Those eyes begging for a second chance
I always knew we’d have our last dance
Future’s always looking like a maybe
So here’s to the mess we made, baby
No words leave those lips
Only use ’em for one thing
Stand up for my fits
Only use ’em for one thing
No words of apology
I’ll be the one to leave
Only makeup to breakup
Waiting till we blowup
Those eyes begging for a second chance
I always knew we’d have our last dance
Future’s always looking like a maybe
So here’s to the mess we made, baby
Knew I needed you
Aways at some kind of war
Took the love with you
Always was some kind of war
No words of apology
I’ll be the one to leave
Only makeup to breakup
Waiting till we blowup
Those eyes begging for a second chance
I always knew we’d have our last dance
Future’s always looking like a maybe
So here’s to the mess we made, baby
I’ll step back to watch it all, and realize it all
Two words: love me, leave me.
Be the one. Kiss me, hold me tight.
Never go. Stay one more night.
Those eyes begging for a second chance
I always knew we’d have our last dance
Future’s always looking like a maybe
So here’s to the mess we made, baby
