It’s my 20th birthday!!!! Woohoo! I’m really excited about today and I’m happy it’s also posting day on here. I hope you enjoy this one!

Disney Itinerary

To celebrate my 20th birthday, my whole family and I went to Disneyland on September 14th. Here is what our day consisted of:

Pixar Pals Parking Structure

The Haunted Mansion

Thunder Mountain

Savi's Workshop

My dad and I made light sabers. I chose purple and he chose blue.

Oga's Cantina

Droid Depot

The saddest part of the day was when we all signed up to make droids but only 1/4 of us actually made one. They were out of a lot of parts and so we had to get refunds. I was not about to make a droid that didn’t look like R2D2.

Snow White

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

I bought a pair of pink sparkly ears.

My family had Rancho Del Zocalo and I had The Golden Horseshoe chicken tenders. I happened to be there when they were having their last show ever. Weird how life works.

We grabbed a Haunted Mansion fast pass

Splash Mountain single rider

My dad and I went on this and they were having a lot of trouble with the logs getting stuck. At the end of the ride my log went through fine, but my dad’s got stuck and he had to wait for the fire department to come and get them out.

Star Tours

Pumpkin Spice beignets and Midnight Julep

Alice in Wonderland

Indiana Jones

Haunted Mansion

Halloween Screams Fireworks

Mainstreet Electrical Parade

Pirates of the Caribbean

Jungle Cruise

Buzz Lightyear

My Initial Feelings on Turning 20

Sitting at the dining room table, surrounded by family and twinkly lights, when it hits you. Your stomach drops, your mind races, and a wave of disappointment washes over you. You sit there spacing out, and wondering how this all happened so fast. 20. You’re turning 20 this year.

You fall asleep at night to have constant nightmares of where your life may go and the downfalls you may face. Waking up in the middle of the night to the cool darkness and having to lull yourself back to sleep after losing everything you worked for.

Waking up to start a new day, with your age and expectations constantly on your mind.

At 20 you should be graduating college, becoming a therapist, getting married, buying a house. Do you start intensive skin care to prevent aging? Are you that old? Are you really going to be spending your 20th birthday at Disney?

Already having so many things flooding your life, to feel unsatisfactory to societies standards and feeling the need to pile on more to your schedule.

Finally realizing that 20 is still super young; you still have your whole life ahead of you. You’re not graduating uni this year, you’re not getting married. You’re not buying a house. You are right where you’re supposed to be. 20 sounds like a lot, but it’s going to be okay.

You wake up everyday with those same fears trying to kick down your door, and you constantly have to remind yourself that it’s going to be okay.

It’s going to be okay.

Song Lyrics

I love change

I’ve embraced it

But this I,

I can’t change it

Not knowing what’s coming but knowing whats coming

Is a scary thing for me

These expectations falling from the clouds of my mind

Not reality now

So I just need to stop thinking so hard

I don’t wanna grow up

Someone please make it stop

Cuz I’m holding on to the life I have

Don’t want it to change, we have

One minute, to breathe

One minute, to be
