This year was far from perfect, but I always love to look back at the positives of each year and reflect on what I’ve learned.
This year I really started focusing on treating my body better. I started focusing on eating more nutritious foods and moving my body to feel good.
I overcame some fear foods that I still had lingering from my past eating disorder.
I experimented with cooking and trying new recipes. I still don’t like to cook, but we’re in the kitchen trying our best.
I got back into reading. I read 20 books this year and I started back in July. That’s incredible.
I managed online learning and got amazing grades in the process.
I made a routine for myself that I stuck to… most of the time, but it helped me so much.
I started listening to podcasts and now I love them and can’t live without them.
I stopped going on social media- except Tik Tok. I genuinely just don’t care to post photos on Instagram or be involved in any of that.
The biggest highlight of this year was probably my 21st birthday. I spent it with my family, went with the flow, and enjoyed myself. It was the best birthday I’ve had in a while.
I believe that there is always room for improvement, and I love working on myself to become the best version of myself. I look forward to 2021 when I can continue these new habits and expand upon them further.
Even through all of the lows this year has brought, I encourage you to find one positive that came from it.
